Rawan Alshaiji is a Master’s student in Industrial Engineering here at Oregon State University. Her major focus is in Human Systems Engineering and her minor focus is in Information Systems Engineering. She received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering with a focus in Engineering Management at Oregon State University, during which she had the opportunity to implement Lean principles to the Material and Product Realization Laboratory tool room her senior year. As a member of the Process Improvement Group, her current research focuses on quality improvement in healthcare; specifically, the issue of physician burnout. She hopes to expand on the concept of burnout and mitigate it through conceptual change principles.
